Our team is made up of highly qualified, carefully selected, and expertly trained professionals.

Brett, Founder and President

Dr. Brett Kleitz, Ph.D. is the founder and President of Kleitz Education Group. He is a graduate of Chaminade College Preparatory School, Truman State University, and the University of Houston. Dr. Kleitz has been involved in the education business for over 25 years and has been leading the Kleitz Education Group for over 15 years, helping thousands of students meet or surpass their goals and bring their dreams into reach. His vast knowledge of standardized tests and his ability to make test prep fun and engaging for his students have earned him a positive reputation throughout the St. Louis area.

Fun Fact: Dr. Kleitz may be wanted in (a state out West) for free soloing a cliff face deemed too dangerous for climbers.

Brett

Amir, Tutor

Amir received his BA in Chemistry from the University of Kentucky before starting the MD-PhD program at Washington University in St. Louis. He started working with KEG as an MCAT tutor in 2019, but has since expanded his tutoring to a variety of math and science courses -- from high school physics to college-level differential equations. Outside of work, Amir enjoys hiking/rucking, tennis, weightlifting, and learning new languages.

Fun fact: Amir has at least professional proficiency in 5 different languages!

Amy, Testing Coordinator

Amy has been part of our Kleitz Education Group office staff since 2019. She is a graduate of University of Missouri St. Louis with a degree in Human Resources. When she’s not in the office, Amy enjoys coffee, reading, music, puzzles, and playing board games with her husband, Joe, and their six kids.

Fun fact: Amy has seen all 23 movies in Marvel’s Infinity Saga and all 9 episodes of the Star Wars Skywalker Saga…multiple times!

AMY

Alli Kleitz, Director of Operations

Alli is our Director of Operations and the glue that holds us all together. A graduate of Truman State University, she brings her organizational and leadership skills to bear on not only the Kleitz Education Group office, but also activities of all sorts, shapes, and sizes. Whether heading up a small prayer group, a conference for 500, a huge event for 40,000+ visitors, or something anywhere in between, Alli makes everyone feel engaged and welcome. If she’s not at our office talking to students, parents, or administrators, she’s almost certainly with Brett and their family.

Fun fact: There are fewer people in Alli’s home “town” than there are students on Dr. Kleitz’s schedule each day.

Anna, Tutor

Anna is a Russian native who moved to St. Louis with her family in third grade. After graduating top of her high school class, she studied at Georgetown University in Washington D.C., graduating with a Bachelor of Arts. Anna also received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri St. Louis and Washington University Joint Undergraduate Engineering Program.

Anna has worked in education since 2006 with students of all ages and has been with the Kleitz Education Group since August of 2016. She works with students in preparation for the ACT, SAT, and a variety of academic subjects. Anna loved the challenge of math and science classes in high school and college and had genuine fun taking those classes. She wants to impart that passion to her students as she helps them sharpen their understanding and skills.

Fun fact: Anna’s hobbies include gardening, drawing, painting, and RPG gaming.

Anne, Business Manager

Anne has been with Kleitz Education Group since August of 2017. She started as a part-time office assistant and charmed her way into a full-time position as our office manager in March of 2019. Anne has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, and a Master’s degree in K-12 Studies. When Anne is not in the office, she is busy with her family. She is proud to be married to Joe, a police officer, and a sergeant in the Missouri Army National Guard. Anne has four wonderful children who are always keeping her laughing and very busy.

Fun fact: Anne has two sets of Irish Twins.

Jane, Student Support Coordinator

Jane is thrilled to have been a part of the KEG office team since the summer of 2021. She graduated from Franciscan University in Steubenville, OH, with an English Literature degree.  In her off hours, between shuttling her five children to their various games and activities, Jane enjoys reading, popping into thrift shops to see what treasures await, and spending time outside. 

 

Fun fact:  Jane grew up in New York State and went to a high school of which no St. Louisan has ever heard.   

JANE

Kim, Tutor

Dr. Kim Fitterling, ED. D. has 35 years in education, 15 years as an English teacher and 19 as a high school principal. She received her doctorate in Educational Leadership in 2009 from Maryville University. Dr. Fitterling's administrative experience at the high school level has helped many students and parents navigate the transition from high school to college or the workplace. Recently retired, Dr. Fitterling is adding her expertise to the Kleitz Education Group as a college admissions coach.

Fun Fact: Dr. Fitterling has won several beautification awards for her impeccable landscaping and gardening.

KIM

Mary, Office Assistant

Mary happily joined the fun and camaraderie of Kleitz Education Group in October 2022. She is a graduate of Millikin University with a Music degree in Vocal Performance. After graduation, she moved to St. Louis, performing with various community theatre companies and even in a few operas with the Muddy River Opera Company in her hometown in Illinois. It was while performing in a play, a farce called “Run for Your Wife”, that she met her wonderful husband, Carl. Together they have five amazing children, including a set of twins!

Fun Fact: While Mary has tried almost every craft imaginable, crochet has captured her heart and imagination like no other.

MarY

Seema, Tutor

Seema has been tutoring ACT, SAT, graduate school entrance test prep, and college essay prep since 1999, and has been a tutor for the Kleitz Education Group since it was founded. She is an educator by education and profession. She graduated with her bachelor's degree in English and Education from Washington University, and then an MA in English (with a focus on teaching writing) from Southern Illinois University--Edwardsville and an MFA in creative writing from University of Missouri--St. Louis. She works full-time as senior lecturer and assistant director of the Engineering Communication Center at the McKelvey School of Engineering at Washington University, where she primarily teaches undergraduate students. As a teacher of bright college students, a tutor of intelligent and thoughtful teenagers, and a mom of a fifth grader and a 4-year-old, Seema loves working with learners of all ages and has a special place in her heart for teenagers and young adults.

Fun fact: Seema puts hot sauce on just about everything.

Bob, Tutor

Bob has just “retired” after 27 years teaching at Ladue Schools. He introduced the AP Psychology program 14 years ago at Ladue and has been a reader and table leader at the AP grading for the last 8 years. A graduate of St. Louis University High school, he attended St. Louis University and University of Missouri St. Louis earning a B.S. in Education with a major in Psychology and a Masters degree in education. He looks forward to lowering his handicap on the links if his golfers elbow allows it and time with his family.

Fun fact: He enjoys cooking, prepares all the family meals and had his first career in the restaurant industry before entering education.

Jeannie, Tutor

Jeannie has been a tutor with Kleitz Education Group since 2009. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Psychology from Washington University. She went on to earn her Juris Doctorem from Washington University and worked in estate planning for several years before returning to education. As a mom, Jeannie understands that everyone learns in their own unique way, and she spends a lot of time thinking of each individual student’s needs.

Fun fact: Jeannie has always been one of those weird people who enjoys taking tests and is grateful to have found a way to study tests for a living.

Krista, Tutor

Krista has been a tutor with Kleitz Education Group since 2016. She earned her bachelors in biology from Mizzou and went on to study marine biology at Texas A&M. Krista has been tutoring since she was 16 and has taught pre-K through college level students. She is also comfortable working with students from various backgrounds and with diverse learning needs.

Fun Fact: In her free time, you can find her hiking or kayaking.

KRISTA

Michael, Tutor

Michael has been with KEG since 2012. He is not only one of our ACT tutors, but he is also our expert in all things computer-related. He finds working with high school and college students rewarding and exciting. Michael has a Bachelor of Science in Applied Science from Washington University and over 20 years of software development experience. He is a full-time software developer and IT Director at a local software company. Outside of work, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids (10 and 4).

Fun fact: in college, Michael minored in music, with a focus on classical piano.

Dan, Tutor

Dan has been a tutor with Kleitz Education Group since 2019. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in History from Truman State University and then pursued a Masters of Arts in Education, also at Truman. Dan brings training and experiences as a traditional classroom teacher to the tutoring realm and encourages students to see the interconnections of their studies. In addition to his comfort with a wide variety of academic subjects, Dan also offers an emphasis on study skills and organization. 

Fun Fact: Dan occasionally masquerades as a professional Esports commentator. Feel free to ask him about how video games can benefit students at the collegiate level and more! 

DAN

Joe, Tutor

Joe received his BS in Nuclear Engineering from Purdue University in 2022. He joined KEG in 2024, and he has a passion for tutoring STEM subjects and history. He is a St. Louis native and grew up in Webster Groves. He previously worked with Aim High of St. Louis and as a Reactor Engineer at Exelon.

Fun Fact: His hobbies include gardening, playing pickleball, and learning Croatian!

JOE

Mark, Tutor

Mark has been with the Kleitz Education Group since 2015, but he has had his hand in education for much longer. A graduate of Fort Zumwalt East and Colgate University, Mark’s educational focus has been in Philosophy, Military Strategy, and Political Science. As a former athlete himself, Mark forms great connections with and is able to motivate and work with our student athletes to hit their goal scores. His “assistant coach” personality allows him to walk the fine line of befriending while also training a student for “game” day.

Fun Fact: Mark had 3 college minors: Military Strategy, Political Science, and Peace and Conflict Studies.

Mira, Tutor

Mira has been a member of the Kleitz Education Group team as an ACT, SAT, and academic tutor for over 5 years now. Mira graduated magna cum laude from Saint Louis University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biomedical Engineering and a minor in Engineering Mathematics. Outside of work, Mira enjoys reading, music, and interior design.

Fun Fact: Mira fluently speaks both English and Bulgarian.

Tori, Tutor

Tori has played a part in the Kleitz Education Group since its start in 2006. A graduate of Duchesne High School and Truman State University, Tori has a unique approach to tutoring, which stems from her background in organizational and classroom behavior. She enjoys working with our elementary through college aged students in a variety of subject areas and loves to see her students have that “ah-ha” moment. When she’s not with students, you can find Tori serving as the Director of Marketing for the Kleitz Education Group, an IT Project Manager at companies such as Boeing and Charter, or as a business consultant to companies in the St. Louis area.

Fun fact: Tori can play 17 instruments.
