Ap EXams

What it is:

AP (Advanced Placement) Exams are standardized tests taken after completing an AP course. A program run by the College Board, the makers of the SAT, the AP classes allow for students to earn college credits while in high school and place in more advanced courses once in college. The earning of college credits is based upon passing the course’s AP Exam. There are currently 38 AP Courses/Exams available. The complete list of subjects can be found here.

The tests are scored on a scale from 1 to 5, with scores of 3 through 5 counting as passing scores.

When to take it:

AP Exams usually take place in the first 2 weeks of May. There is a set schedule of test times for each subject. The complete schedule can be found on here.
